Bianca Leticia Medina is a Queens-based, proud Boricua-Mexicana dance artist, choreographer, and teaching artist from Chicago.
Her career spans concert dance, opera, theater, film, and community-engaged performance. Notable credits include The Metropolitan Opera, Jacob's Pillow, Houston Grand Opera, LA Opera, HOllywood bowl, THE JOYCE, DANCE PLACE, THE FORD and touring dance companies Urban Bush Women, CONTRA-TIEMPO, and Viver Brasil.
She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Iowa and draws from years of study in Afro-Latin diasporic movement practices, including Orixá traditions in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and Afro-Latin social and vernacular dance forms.
Through both performance and education, she creates spaces where artistry, cultural lineage, and embodied connection meet.
DANCER
Bianca is a versatile dance artist with a movement practice rooted in contemporary and modern release techniques alongside Afro-Latin and Afro-diasporic forms.
Her training and performance experience span salsa, Afro-Cuban, samba, Afro-Brazilian and Orixá traditions, house, Latin commercial, hip hop, heels, improvisation, and dance theater.
She brings a grounded physicality, musicality, and culturally informed approach to performance across concert dance, opera, musical theater, film, and commercial work.

TEACHING ARTIST
As a teaching artist, Bianca creates welcoming, embodied spaces where movement becomes a tool for connection, curiosity, and collective care. Her practice draws from contemporary dance, improvisation, Afro-Latin diasporic forms, yoga, and somatic movement, with experience teaching across ages, abilities, and communities.
SCREEN + COMMERCIAL
Bianca brings warmth, authenticity, movement expertise, and a strong on-camera presence to commercial and screen work. Her credits include Chicago Fire, Las Cafeteras, nolah young, and campaigns or branded projects with Hard Rock Bet, Google, Bacardí x the VMAs, HomeGoods x Hallmark, Verizon, and the New York Latino Film Festival.

Bianca’s choreographic practice explores cultural memory, ancestral lineage, identity, and the body as a vessel for storytelling. Blending contemporary movement, improvisation, ritual, and Afro-Latin diasporic influences, she creates work that is intimate, visually rich, and rooted in lived experience.

Bianca choreographed and performed La Llorona at Judson Church in collaboration with vocalist Gina Perregrino and created and performed her solo work Capsaicina For IATI Theatre NYC.
For film, Bianca served as Choreographer and Movement Director for Stacy Gaspard’s Queen of Samba, presented at NYLIFF and LALIFF, and as Movement Director for Good Mother Films’ Pedacito de Carne, created through Netflix’s Latino Lens.
She has also contributed as a rehearsal director and creative collaborator for the creative capital and map fund awardee Body As A Crossroads by marina magalhães.
Her commissioned choreography includes works created for dancers in SUNY purchase College BFA Dance Program and Trinity High School’s IB Dance Program.
